Herrada: “I suffered a lot”

Jesus Herrada (Cofidis): “I already said yesterday we were taking things day by day, trying to maintain the leader’s jersey for as long as possible. Every day we manage to do it is a reward for all the work we put in. Tomorrow the finale is similar and we’ll face it with the same approach. The legs are really really tired to be honest. On the day to Luintra (stage 11), I already tried to go in the break and it was a lot of efforts. And then I worked a lot in the break too, obviously. I have had a cold for two days, I can feel the body is at the limit. I suffered a lot. The last climb was really hard, with some very hard sections. For riders weighing 70 kilos like me, you could feel the difference with riders like Nairo (Quintana) and Miguel Angel (Lopez). I got dropped with 3 or 4 kilometres to go. I tried to maintain my rhythm and lose as little time as possible.”
