Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana Pro Team): “I’m not bothered because it’s still 19 days to go: we’ve only ridden two stages so far. As of now, legs feel good and there is no reason to worry. Today’s final kilometres got messy for us because of Ion Izagirre’s puncture [before the last categorised climb]. He is an important rider for our GC aspirations and several teammates waited in order to help him catch up with the bunch. That played against us, as those teammates couldn’t help us anymore after the climb. Anyway, it’s fine: we are healthy, in good shape and in contention. My teammates did a fine job all over the stage, and I want to thank them for that.”
