Bouchard: “ I’m a neo-pro and I’m here to learn”

Geoffrey Bouchard (AG2R La Mondiale): “I need to thank my teammates. There were 51km on the flat before we got the first climb and it was a hard fight. We had to be careful, opportunists… They helped me be in a good position. I jumped out of the bunch a bit after the break got away but I managed to bridge the gap in the fist climb and to take the points at the summit. I’m happy. I also finish in the stage top 10, that’s my best result of the season. I’m 27 years old, I’m a neo-pro and I’m here to learn. I also work for Pierre Latour. I try to improve, to gain experience. Now the goal is to keep the jersey all the way to Madrid.”
