Ben Turner (Ineos Grenadiers) : “I don’t know what to say to be honest! It’s a crazy week, like super crazy! I wanted to come to the Vuelta. The team sent me to Renewi and then they said they did need me. Of course I said yes, I’d do anything to race these races. I was devastated after the first sprint my chain came off. I really believed in myself today. I felt really good all day. I don’t know what to say, just thank you to the boys. It’s been a great atmosphere in this race. They’ve just been amazing. These last few weeks have been incredible, winning in Poland and now here. I just had the best guys around me, and we really trusted in what I had to do. It just came perfect. The last metres felt so long… It’s just amazing.”
« Franchement, je ne sais pas quoi dire ! C'est une semaine de fou, vraiment ! Je voulais participer à La Vuelta. L'équipe m'a envoyé au Renewi Tour, puis elle m'a dit qu'elle avait besoin de moi. Bien sûr, j'ai dit oui, je ferais tout pour participer à ces courses. J'étais dévasté après le premier sprint, ma chaîne s'est détachée. J'ai vraiment cru en moi aujourd'hui. Je me suis senti vraiment bien toute la journée. Je ne sais pas quoi dire, juste merci aux gars. L'ambiance était géniale sur cette course. Ils ont été incroyables. Ces dernières semaines ont été incroyables, avec ma victoire en Pologne et maintenant ici. J'étais entouré des meilleurs, et nous avions vraiment confiance en ce que je devais faire. C'était parfait. Les derniers mètres m'ont semblé si longs… C'est incroyable. »
