The final great mountain stage of La Vuelta 26 will culminate with an unprecedented climb in the world of professional cycling: the Collado del Alguacil. Its 8.3 kilometres, with an inclination of 9.8%, will be the last big challenge for those hoping to achieve the overall victory in La Vuelta. It will be the second summit within the municipality of Güejar Sierra to host a finish-line for La Vuelta: back in 2013, the climb to Hazallanas was the setting for a surprising victory by American rider Chris Horner who wore the leader’s jersey and would ultimately go on to win that edition of the race.

  • Unprecedented La Vuelta finish-line.
  • 2.926 inhabitants (Güejar Sierra).
  • Province of Granada.
