The common effort has proven to be the central focus of the last edition of La Vuelta, which ended last Sunday with a final stage of 104.8 kilometers between Las Rozas and the Spanish capital city. Azkar DACHSER Group, Official Logistics of the event, gave to BMC the Team Classification Award for its collaboration these three weeks, in which it managed to be the leader from the stage 13 of the 21 contested in total. Plaza de Cibeles in Madrid witnessed this release and other awards, such as the winner of the competition, Nairo Quintana, in a ceremony that highlighted the power of union and the spirit of sacrifice of athletes.
Azkar DACHSER Group thus put an end to an exceptional and unique logistics management, which has enabled enjoy the achievements of the riders in each start and finish location. Together with the 29 trucks provided for the organization of La Vuelta, Azkar DACHSER Group has also transported billboards, posted signs and promotional items from other sponsors along the route. An operation that has successfully met the requirements of an itinerant event, which has overcome more than 50 summits and areas of difficult access, such as the Lagos de Covadonga, the Formigal ski resort or Alto de Aitana.
This unprecedented spectacle has involved more than 3,000 people, among organization, sponsors, media, etc. From Azkar DACHSER Group, more than 30 professionals in logistics management have ensured the competition during the three weeks. All these professionals such the riders have demonstrated to share the same values such as union, sacrifice and companionship so, somehow, they are champions of this edition as well.
