The Official Logistics company of La Vuelta a España, Azkar DACHSER Group, is betting on responsible and environmentally friendly logistics management. The provider contributes to the competition with 29 highly efficient trucks, which are the champions in optimizing fuel consumption. The TGX EfficientLine 2 model is the first time used in La Vuelta and it reduces by 6.5% the consumption with respect to trucks provided in 2015. This is thanks to the optimization of the powertrain and other technical and aerodynamic elements.
For the eighth consecutive year, Azkar DACHSER Group is responsible for transport and logistics management of all the elements necessary for the organization of the competition. The 29 trucks provided belong to the same model which respects emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere. Some of them have been adapted specifically for the event, while other conventional platforms are used in the transport of fences, promotional products and assembling and dismantling equipments. In total, every truck will travel an average of 6,000 kilometers during the three weeks.
