Unipublic, along with the Ourense Provincial Council, presented the four stages of the upcoming Vuelta that are to take place within the Ourense Province. The Laias Health Resort will be the headquarters of the official departure of the 2016 Vuelta.
In an event held at Ourense’s main theatre, Unipublic and the Ourense Provincial Council presented the four stages of the Vuelta’s next edition that will take place on Ourense territory. The first, second, sixth and seventh stages of the 2016 Vuelta will have the honour of unfolding entirely within the province of Ourense. From the official departure, that will take place at the Laias Health Resort on the 20th of August, until the municipality of Maceda, the departure point of the stage that will leave Galicia, the peloton will make the province of Ourense the star of the 2016 Vuelta.
Today’s event was hosted by Oscar Pereiro and Pedro Delgado. Both are Tour de France winners and, in the case of the Segovian rider, he is a Vuelta a España winner also. Speakers included Manuel Baltar, the President of the Ourense Provincial Council, Marisol Díaz, a Xunta Delegate in Ourense, all the mayors of the towns that will host departures or arrivals in those stages, Fernando Escartín, Technical Director of the Vuelta and Javier Guillén, General Director of the Vuelta.
