The fabulous Suzuki V-Storm 650 is the chosen model for the 22 organisational motorbikes of the 2016 Vuelta. The organisation has placed its trust in the Japanese brand yet again for its reliability, security, manageability, agility and quality, all of the fundamental values required of race motorbikes.
The official motorbikes of the 2016 Vuelta will cover 3300km, from the departure in Ourense Thermal Province on the 20th of August, to the final finish-line in Madrid on Sunday, the 11th of September. 21 stages during which they will tackle all kinds of scenarios: secondary roads, highways, cities and very tough mountain passes that will put their seats and their ability to adapt to any kind of terrain to the test. In an international sporting event such as the Vuelta, broadcast on television in 190 countries, it is essential to have dynamic motorbikes that can handle all types of situations.
Aesthetics are also a determining factor. That is why the Vodafone red, that coincides with the Vuelta general classification leader's jersey, has been chosen to cover the motorbikes that will shine like never before on the 2016 Vuelta's itinerary. A long itinerary that will require seats that are as comfortable as possible for their occupants, all of them professionals, who will spend many hours following the race. The Suzuki V-Storm 650's response to this is ideal, even if two people travel together, as it allows for the seat to be lifted a little by using the handlebars, which offers the rider the possibility of adopting a more upright position in order to better accommodate his movements.
Just 11 days before the competition kicks off, the 2016 Vuelta's 22 Suzukis are ready to give it their all and ride in the country's most important cycling race.
