Love of all things spanish

The 2017 Vuelta wishes to reaffirm the race's growing internationalisation by taking the Spanish tour beyond its national borders. Many ties link Spain to its neighbouring country and to the city of Nîmes, one of its most characteristic standard bearers. Its love of all things Spanish, its character and the Romanesque traces of its architecture, its passion for the art of bullfighting and flamenco will take centre stage in this perfect fusion between La Vuelta, France and emblematic Spain.

We continue discovering unprecedented parts of our geography, with the Santa Lucía Chapel and the impressive Los Machucos slopes, without forgetting such traditional Vuelta icons as Xorret de Catí, Sierra Nevada (this year with an arrival at Alto Hoya de la Mora) and the ever-feared Angliru. Our essence
remains intact with our short stages and highaltitude finales and with the mountain as the main protagonist and the all-powerful judge who will decide the final outcome.
