This is a yearly event that brings together the family of La Vuelta to celebrate a festive, informational… and sporty get-together!
Besides sharing their impressions about the race that will commence on the 19th of August in Nîmes, the group enjoyed a day full of cycling, where both professional riders and amateurs covered 55 kilometres, from Calpe to the Cumbre del Sol, in the Poble Nou in Benitatxell. A high altitude finale that will be a protagonist of La Vuelta 2017, hosting the 9th stage finish-line.
The more consolidated sponsors, like Carrefour, Shimano and Cofidis welcomed the new ones: Fenie Energía, SMS Santini, Segafredo, Movistar, Líderes Villaconejos, Husqvarna and Depor Village. All of them were able to test their legs and their capacity for teamwork through the winding roads of the Alicante region, home to some of the best cycling routes in our country.
Before the peloton's departure, a minute of silence was held for the victims of the fatal accident in which three riders from the team Triatlón de Xàbia lost their lives last Sunday while training in the locality of Oliva.
