The winner of the first edition of the photo contest #CochesAzules – La Vuelta in one picture is the Italian photographer Luca Bettini with his picture Wow start, taken at the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca during the start of stage 10.
The winning picture was chosen by a jury composed by Miguel Llorente, president of Macario Llorente; Javier Guillén, general director of La Vuelta; Fernando Escartín, sport director of La Vuelta and Laura Cueto, press officer of La Vuelta. The price is a road bike, courtesy of MACARIO LLORENTE, official sponsor of La Vuelta through his brand Shimano.
The contest offered the possibility to the photographers permanently accredited in La Vuelta 18 to send a maximum of two pictures illustrating the event: a representative moment of the race, of cycling and the values that characterize this sport. «Luca Bettini’s picture is a perfect illustration of the show that makes up La Vuelta », said Miguel Llorente, President of the Jury.
