RTVE (Radio Televisión Española) renews its commitment to one of its most historically-broadcast sporting events: La Vuelta. RTVE will be the official TV station of La Vuelta for the next four editions. Tomorrow, Thursday the 11th of February, RTVE will broadcast the official presentation of the route of La Vuelta 21, presented by Carlos de Andrés and Pedro Delgado. The 21 stages of the Spanish grand tour’s 76th edition will be unveiled in a gala held at the Burgos Evolution Forum and may be followed live starting at 12:00pm on Teledeporte and +TDP.

RTVE has signed a contract with Unipublic renewing its broadcasting rights of the Spanish grand tour until 2024. This firm commitment to cycling will make TVE the official TV station of the next four editions: 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

This agreement coincides with the presentation gala for the next edition of La Vuelta, that will take place this Thursday at 12:00pm. Teledeporte will broadcast the event live from the Burgos Evolution Forum, where the route of La Vuelta 21 will be revealed.

The event, presented by TVE’s cycling commentators, Carlos de Andrés and Perico Delgado – who have been narrating La Vuelta for over twenty years – will feature the special guest appearance of four great champions: Miguel Indurain, Óscar Freire, Óscar Pereiro and Alejandro Valverde. Together they will, accompanied by Javier Guillén, Director of La Vuelta, discover the itinerary of a race that each year “makes us discover new mountain passes and new locations to delight the spectators. The race organisers seek to create a spectacle on the roads, always hoping that surprises will arise in each stage”, says Carlos de Andrés.

The 76th edition of La Vuelta will take off from Burgos on the 14th of August, as part of the 8th centenary celebrations of the city’s Cathedral, and will conclude 21 stages later on the 5th of September.
