Correos will once again be the official logistics operator for La Vuelta 25

  • Pedro Saura, the President of Correos, and Javier Guillén, the General Director of Unipublic, have today renewed the alliance making the postal company La Vuelta’s Official Logistics Operator for the next three editions.
  • The postal and package delivery company will be responsible for transporting all the materials for the cycling race in 2025, so that it may be held in its 42 host locations (21 departures and 21 finish-lines), including those located in Andorra, Italy and France.
  • 25 towing vehicles, 3 trailers, 1 rigid truck and 16 platforms will carry over 400 tonnes of materials that will move with the 80th edition of La Vuelta - to be held from the 23rd of August to the 14th of September - which turns 90 this year.
  • The company will again present the Best Team Award, whereby each day a red Correos bib is presented to that stage’s best team.

Correos will once again be the Official Logistics Operator for La Vuelta 25. Pedro Saura, the President of Correos, and Javier Guillén, the General Director of Unipublic, have today extended the alliance established by the entities in 2020, thus consolidating the postal and package delivery company as La Vuelta’s Official Logistics Operator for the next three editions (2025, 2026 and 2027) of the cycling race.

For the sixth year in a row, Correos will be responsible for transporting the key infrastructures of the 80th edition of the Spanish Tour, to be held from the 23rd of August to the 14th of September 2025, which turns 90 this year – an enormous logistical challenge.

Correos will move over 400 tonnes of materials required for the race to take place without logistical complications in each of its 42 host locations (21 departures and 21 finish-lines), including those located in Italy, Andorra and France. The company will make 25 towing vehicles, 3 trailers, 1 rigid truck, 16 platforms and 33 official vehicles available to La Vuelta in order to travel 3,151 km carrying the materials required to hold the race.

The materials include barriers and signage as well as various finish-line mobile infrastructures such as the podium, the Press Room, the signature podium, the anti-doping and catering truck, among others.

Once again, Correos will be a main partner of La Vuelta 25 by sponsoring the Team Classification that rewards the leading team during each stage as well as the leading team in the General Classification at the end of La Vuelta. This ranking is obtained by adding the top 3 individual times of each team’s riders, the winner being the team with the lowest total time.

Each stage’s best team will be presented with their award at the signature podium the following day prior to the stage departure. Likewise, the team leading the General Classification will wear a red bib featuring the Correos logo to distinguish its members from the rest of the peloton.

Correos’ collaboration with La Vuelta will also be visible this year at each stage’s Parque Vuelta where a Correos tent will be located, featuring a quiz consisting of two roulettes and questions about Correos products (Correos Market, Correos Frío, Sustainability, Logistical Challenge in La Vuelta, etc.) – its objective being to raise awareness regarding the company’s products, services and actions.

To commemorate the cycling race’s 90th anniversary, Correos will release 72,000 copies of a La Vuelta 25 commemorative stamp on the 31st of July. Also, during La Vuelta’s passage through Andorra (in stages 6 and 7), visitors to the Correos tent within the Parque Vuelta will be able to send postcards to friends and family by purchasing special stamps dedicated to the Principality, which will be available for purchase at specially installed ATM machines.

Through the renewal of this partnership agreement with Unipublic - the organiser of La Vuelta - for the next three editions, Correos reinforces its support and commitment to Spanish sports, thus consolidating its presence in one of our country’s most emblematic sporting events.
