The leading garage network in Spain and Portugal will accompany the major cycling event for the fourth year in a row, providing assistance to the organisation and visibility to its network of over 600 centres.
First Stop, a specialist tyre and integral car maintenance workshop, announces its participation as an official provider for La Vuelta 25. For the fourth year in a row, the company will accompany the organisation of the Spanish Tour, thus consolidating a strategic alliance that goes beyond a sports sponsorship and reflects First Stop’s commitment to safe mobility, innovation and sustainability.
This year’s edition, that will start in the Italian region of Piedmont and travel across the Iberian Peninsula to Madrid, will once again bring together the best cyclists in the world, as well as millions of fans. In this context, First Stop will deploy its fleet of mobile workshops and technical teams over the 21 stages, guaranteeing the maintenance and immediate assistance to the fleet of organisation vehicles – an essential service for the logistical development and safety of the race.
‘During the 2024 race, our technical team assisted La Vuelta’s caravan vehicles on more than 30 occasions, some of them key vehicles, including the medical car and the UAE team’s motorhome bus,’ says Jonathan López, the General Director of First Stop. ‘This type of action demonstrates our responsiveness and our commitment to safe and efficient mobility throughout the entire event.’
Its collaboration with La Vuelta also reinforces the visibility of the First Stop network, with over 600 workshops spread out over Spain (477) and Portugal (131), and the international projection of the brand, which is present in 25 European countries. ‘La Vuelta is much more than just a race: it is a meeting point of cultures, innovation and passion for sports. We are proud to contribute towards making everything run smoothly and to continue promoting a safer and more sustainable mobility for all,’ concludes López.
First Stop stands out for its multi-brand and multi-service model, its excellence in customer service and its continuous investments into training programmes and digitalisation. Its network, established in 25 European countries and with almost 2,000 outlets, is the first in Spain to receive TÜV SÜD certifications for the quality and safety of its workshops, and is a leader in the development of sustainable mobility solutions, such as a charging infrastructure for electrical vehicles and fleet assistance.
