- La Vuelta will, once again, showcase new corners of the Spanish geography and promote some of the race’s sporting and touristic elements.
- La Vuelta will also promote some of the locations it will visit in 2025 thanks to a series of four tourist videos called La Vuelta de los Secretos.
Each year, the places visited by La Vuelta are within reach of people in over 190 countries that, thanks to the event’s different broadcasting channels, are one step closer to Spain. A unique promotion in the world of sports that, thanks to cycling, allows us to showcase the landscapes, monuments and diversity of the national and international territories covered by the Spanish tour. A window through which to display our national territory to the world and invite them to visit and discover each region’s cultural heritage closely, particularly when done on a bicycle.
As it does every year, La Vuelta promotes some of the locations visited by the race through a series of tourist videos. In 2025, La Vuelta de los Secretos will be the thread that runs through a story connecting Piedmont (Italy) - the location for the Official Departure - the Pyrenees, the Tierras del Ebro, Valladolid and Salamanca.
These videos are part of the La Vuelta es Más programme, that vindicate the value of the race as a promoter of a more connected, supportive and responsible world, besides showcasing to the world the places it visits, thanks to one of the programme’s pillars: Más por descubrir.
PIEDMONT
The first stop could be no other but Piedmont, in Italy. Venaria Reale welcomes us on a journey through Piedmontese heritage and that of its capital, with the Church of Saint Peter and the Subalpine Gallery. Lake Maggiore and its Borromean Islands, or the vineyards and chestnut trees surrounding Alba, will add a touch of gastronomy before reaching the Piedmontese sky at the Abbey of Saint Michael.
PYRENEES
Following our arrival to Spain, the Pyrenees take on a particular importance, in Catalonia, Andorra, Aragón and Navarre. This mountainous video begins at the volcanic location of Olot, with its iconic Montsacopa Volcano. The skies of Andorra offer unique views from the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint, more than 2,700 metres above sea level. Adventure sports make it into this video thanks to the fixed kayak stadium at Sort, in Lleida, before heading to such towns as Roda de Isábena, already in the Aragón Pyrenees. Paragliding over Pyrenean skies brings us to the end of this new episode.
TIERRAS DEL EBRO
The Templars of Monzón welcome you on a new journey to discover the Tierras del Ebro. The streets of Huesca show us La Confianza, the oldest store still functioning in Europe. The Ebro continues to flow to Zaragoza and its main sign of identity, the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. The Collegiate Church of San Miguel (or Saint Michael) and its neighbours, the storks, greet travellers before ending their journey between the vineyards of La Rioja and places such as Santo Domingo de la Calzada.
VALLADOLID AND SALAMANCA
The heart of Castilla y León will be the star of the final week of La Vuelta 25. On the banks of the Pisuerga River, Valladolid and the house-museum of one of the most illustrious natives of Valladolid, José Zorrilla, are the departure point for this final journey – a cultural journey that visits Urueña (the Book Town), and continues in the University of Salamanca. Gastronomy could not be overlooked in this last episode, with the Rueda Designation of Origin wine and Guijuelo Designation of Origin jamón.
