Komoot becomes the official route planner of La Vuelta 26

  • For the first time, all official La Vuelta 26 stage routes will be powered by komoot and integrated into the race’s official website and mobile app, complete with interactive maps, elevation profiles and distance data.
  • Komoot is becoming the official route partner of La Vuelta, bringing every stage to life and inspiring fans to ride or hike the race territories themselves. Exclusive cycling and hiking route Collections will help them discover and explore these regions beyond race day.
  • The initiative reinforces both entities’ commitment to promoting active and healthy living, cycling and active tourism through La Vuelta es Más, and its Más por Descubrir pillar.

La Vuelta and komoot, one of the leading global digital platforms for outdoor planning and navigation, are partnering to bring every official stage of La Vuelta 26 to fans in a richer, more interactive way than ever before.

For the first time in La Vuelta's history, fans can access every official 2026 stage route complete with elevation profiles, distance data and interactive maps, directly through komoot, integrated into both the race's official website and mobile app. Anyone following the race can explore each stage in detail before, during or after the event, and then head out to ride the very same route, navigating it turn by turn via the komoot app.

This partnership extends beyond the race itself. As part of the La Vuelta es Más program and its Más por Descubrir pillar, fans will gain access to exclusive route collections inspired by the most iconic locations in the race’s history. These routes invite fans to discover the landscapes and communities that have shaped the Spanish Grand Tour.

Highlights will include all stages of La Vuelta 26, as well as a special Ride & Hike Around the Stage collection, combining cycling and hiking routes in some of the most representative places found along this year’s route and previous editions, including Monaco, Andorra, Navarre, Calar Alto, La Pandera, Peñas Blancas, Collado Alguacil and Valdelinares.

This collaboration will also showcase some of the most iconic climbs and locations in La Vuelta history, with routes dedicated to L’Angliru, Lagos de Covadonga, Bola del Mundo, La Gallina and the Mirador de Ézaro.

‘La Vuelta traces some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Europe, and for years our community has been riding and hiking those very same roads and trails. Partnering with La Vuelta lets us turn that inspiration into action, giving every cycling fan and outdoor enthusiast a direct path from watching the race to experiencing those places for themselves. Spain has an extraordinary wealth of terrain to explore, and together we want to make sure people don't just follow La Vuelta from the sofa, but go out and live it.’ said Eva Kuprella, Head of Local Marketing at komoot

‘This collaboration allows us to continue to develop our objective behind La Vuelta es Más, and that is bringing fans new ways of enjoying cycling and of discovering the territories visited by the race. Thanks to komoot, fans can be inspired by our itineraries and live their own experiences all year round,’ said Javier Guillén, General Director of Unipublic.

Through this partnership, La Vuelta and komoot reinforce their shared commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyles, encouraging people to connect with the outdoors and bringing cycling closer to an ever-growing community. Together, they will create new ways to discover the routes, landscapes and stories that make La Vuelta much more than a sporting competition.
