La Vuelta collaborates with the "Vías Verdes" programme of the Spanish Railways Foundation to promote cycle tourism routes located near the race route.
In Spain, there are more than 3,500 kilometres of disused railway lines that have been converted into cycling and walking routes under the "Vías Verdes" programme.
The Greenways close to La Vuelta's stages are highlighted to encourage bicycle tourism in the territories crossed by the race.
