Luis Angel Mate (Cofidis), most aggressive rider: “I was quite affected by my crash for a couple days, I'm doing better every day. Today I tried again. It was hard to make the break. Unfortunately the bunch pulled hard behind us and we didn't have a big enough gap to play it differently and prevent (Rafal) Majka from winning. In the end, the strongest won but with a bigger lead we could have tried to anticipate or play around. But Majka was the strongest. Today was an important day because we knew the break could make it. And those are special days riding at home.”
