"I think my chain dropped in the sprint, I’m not quite sure what happened. I hit some rough roads or maybe I hit the back wheel of my teammate Robbe [Ghys]. I’m not sure but in the end I lost momentum and I had to come from a long way back unfortunately. I can’t say a bad thing about the team. They did a fantastic job all day. UAE came with momentum in the final hundred metres. My team did a fantastic job and I think without a mechanical I could have gone for the win."
