Two stages in La Vuelta, last year and now this year… After the injuries, it was not an easy year but now I’m really happy. We have very strong men for the overall classification, we need to take care of them. Today, the team worked for me. Rui [Oliveira] was perfect, Marc [Soler] was perfect as well. Everything went like we had planned in the meeting. The last turn to the left, we had to be up front already, stick to the barriers and open up the sprint. I didn’t know there were so many Colombian fans at the finish. They often come to Spanish races and I’m grateful to them for their support. I could hear the fans screaming my name. This is also for them and I hope they enjoy this victory."
