"It was good to be in the breakaway, it was a goal for the team, but I think my legs just ran out of energy on the final climb. I think I couldn’t compete for the stage win today because after yesterday’s stage, I felt pretty tired on the final local lap. I did my maximum, I tried as much as possible and I took some extra points for my mountain jersey and it’s a good thing to finish the second week. Now I deserve two nice rest days, with the real rest day tomorrow and an easy stage on Tuesday. I’m looking forward to the last week. It’s been a really big battle for the last few days. We’re gonna try to recover as much as possible, try to go for another stage win and especially for my mountain jersey. Hopefully on Wednesday I can be up there as well."
