Sepp Kuss: "It's life changing"

"It’s incredible. I think today was the stage that I suffered the most of the whole race, now I’m just glad it’s over. I had a feeling it would be a fast stage when I saw all those guys getting ready to attack. I suffered more today than I didi in Angliru. It was a nice way to finish off. No, I’m not different now that I’ve won La Vuelta, not at...

Groves and Kuss triumph in Madrid

Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) claimed his third stage win of La Vuelta 23 in Madrid, but with a very different scenario! The Australian sprinter followed Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) and Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers) as they put the hammer down on the closing circuit, leading to a thrilling finale of the Spanish Grand Tour. The peloton came back inside the last...

Interview - 16/09 - 17:37 [GMT + 2]

Sepp Kuss: "a super special moment"

"I’m super relieved! I almost made it. It was perfectly in control with the guys in the beginning. Robert [Gesink] and Dylan [van Baarle] were pulling 90% of the stage. It was a long hard day and they were up there all day so just big hats off to them, they were amazing. And then Attila [Valter] was there on the last climb and Primoz [Roglic] did a lot of work for me there...

Sepp Kuss: "Tomorrow is gonna be a really hard day"

"These days are more stressful now. Normally, I just sit at the back and ride to the finish line but now there’s a bit more to lose. The guys helped me really well today, we were always up front and another day done. The pace was okay. Sometimes it’s better to keep a bit of tension on the legs. It was always kind of an annoying wind from the side so it wasn’t...

Interview - 14/09 - 18:19 [GMT + 2]

Sepp Kuss: "Jonas rode super for me"

"First of all, the guys did a really great job, pulling the whole day and then on the last two laps on this finishing climb, Jan [Tratnik] came back and he was riding super for us and then Jonas [Vingegaard] did a really good pace from the bottom. I was a little bit scared because he’s so strong! He really rode super for me. Today we rode a more defensive tactic....

Interview - 13/09 - 17:53 [GMT + 2]

Sepp Kuss: "I though I had lost the jersey"

"I’m really happy. When I crossed the finish line, I thought I had lost the jersey. And I wasn’t even sad because I gave it the best I could on the climb. When I heard I still had the jersey, I was a bit surprised. Strange feelings today, but not in a bad way! Another day with my two strong teammates, my friends as well… I think we had as good as a time you...

Roglic dominates the Jumbo-Visma 1-2-3 on the Angliru

Just like they did on the Tourmalet, Jumbo-Visma dominated the Altu de l’Angliru with Primoz Roglic taking victory ahead of Jonas Vingegaard and Sepp Kuss. The Dane matched the Slovenian’s pace but the American leader, on his 29th birthday, lost 19’’ on the line. He still leads the overall standings but Vingegaard moves much closer (+8’’)...

Interview - 12/09 - 17:59 [GMT + 2]

Sepp Kuss: "Jonas was unstoppable"

"Yes, the plan changed a little bit. Just before the final part of the climb, Jonas [Vingegaard] asked on the radio if he could attack and it was a really good moment to go. Everybody was looking at each other behind and he also rode a super fast climb, so he was unstoppable. It’s another super day for the team. I felt pretty good. I knew this kind of finish would be hard...
