I’m very happy to take the King of the Mountains jersey. This was my first goal at La Vuelta 19. I would have enjoyed to fight for the stage victory as well, but it just couldn’t be. Contending for the blue polka-dot jersey? I will take that day by day. We’ll see where I can collect points for that matter in the next few days, but my main goal is to get a stage win for Burgos BH. I hope to deliver that on the Northern stages, once we reach the big mountains.
