Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) won the intermediate sprint and finished 5th, earning some important points for the defense of his green jersey: "This was a really good day, especially for the points, I could have been 4th but [Victor] Campenaerts was really strong. I think we should be really happy with how we did today. It's really hard [to be in the breakaway] but I'm doing really well in the climbs right now, it's nice when the legs are doing the same thing as the head wants. Tomorrow will be a different story, a different race, I will just ride to the finish line.”
