Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe): “The start was really difficult! The beginning was quite easy, but after two kilometers of climbing, [some riders] started to accelerate really hard to make a big breakaway. But in the group, we were taking it easy. In the final, Bahrain Victorious pushed [to gain time on Junior Lecerf], but in the end, it was a good day for us. At one point, I thought I could lose the jersey [to Lecerf], but I had already said that the team's goal is the podium [for Jai Hindley]. We're fighting for that and the white jersey is a plus. We just wanted to recover a little and be ready for the third week. Next week will be very difficult, this one was already hard, but we're close to Madrid and I can't wait to be there.”
