UAE rule collectively, Vingegaard leads individually

Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates): “Of course it’s a big victory. It’s my first victory in a team time trial. To do it together, everybody has their own merit, it’s super special. We did two recons of the course because on the first time we were not happy, and we committed to do it again. Everybody was super optimistic today, and I think it’s a win...

We don't have any rider for the GC, so we didn't have the pressure that the big teams have to perform well for the GC. We wanted to do a good time trial and demonstrate the team's level.”
